The Central and Northern Arava Research and Development (R&D) Center is a regional applied research organization supporting the agricultural and ecological communities of the Arava desert region in southern Israel. Research and development activity in the Arava Valley began in 1986 under the Negev-Arava research and development framework. The center develops and transfers practical solutions in sustainable agriculture, water management, crop science, and aquaculture adapted to arid and hyper-arid conditions.
