About Us
The Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Rehovot campus) is the only academic institution in Israel awarding university degrees in agricultural sciences. Founded in 1942 as an agricultural institute of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, it became a full faculty in 1952. The faculty conducts internationally recognized research in fish physiology, aquatic genetics, reproductive biology, water quality management, and integrated aquaculture systems.
